This report presents information on parolees' earnings compiled from data submitted by nine district parole offices in New Jersey during 1978.
Abstract
The 10,738 parolees under supervision in the State earned over $25 million, an increase of over $4 million in comparison to 1977. A total of 55 percent of those under supervision were classified as employed, 24 percent were unemployed, and 21 percent were unemployable. Tables illustrate parolee employment classifications for each of the nine districts, average parolee earnings by institution from 1974-78, and average earnings by parole district office from 1975-78, as well as average earnings only for those parolees under supervision for the entire calendar year.
