During the 1979-80 period, the New Hampshire Probation Department created a detailed probation manual which is used throughout the State and developed and implemented an ongoing training program.
Abstract
The department, however, is currently threatened with extinction by House Bill 892, which is designed to create a new probation bureaucracy. The report includes numerous charts detailing the probation workload and enforcement activities; comparing probation workloads; and giving data on locally funded probation staff, the Domestic Relations Unit, and the budget.
