Abstract
The book is an introduction to Netspionage, i.e., Net-enabled espionage. It provides a foundation of knowledge for protecting critical organizational assets from Netspionage and describes how the Internet can be a valuable asset supporting practitioners of ethical business intelligence collection. Through examples and mini-case studies, it shows how, why, and when corporations are at risk and recommends specific actions to protect against Netspionage and the techno-spy. It discusses the technological developments leading up to creation of the Internet, and provides a short history of industrial, economic, and military espionage.
