In the 1982-83 period, the National Association for the Care and Resettlement of Offenders (NACRO) tried out new ways of dealing with the problem of crime in local areas in England. It developed the Juvenile Crime Unit (JCU) and worked on crime prevention in housing projects.
Abstract
NACRO staff work with young people who have been in trouble with the law. NACRO provides training programs for unemployed 16 and 17-year olds, housing for homeless young people, and day centers which attract those wanting to learn basic skills. Financial statements, lists of staff members, and photographs are included.
