Abstract
Tabulated data show crimes recorded by the State and municipal police and the Royal Marechaussee (RM), giving annual comparisons back to 1977. Nonindictable offenses and persons taken into custody are also shown. Tables for the month of October list crimes known to the police and to the RM in terms of cases investigated and of nonindictable offenses per province, according to groups of municipalities. Data are given according to the nature of the offense. Also shown are State, municipal police, and RM recorded nonindictable offenses for which prosecution was evaded by payment of a fine and traffic offenses recorded by the State Transport Inspector. Statistics are included on the application of the economic offenses act for the first three quarters of 1981 and judicial statistics of the ordinary court for the first half-year 1981. Additional tables have data on bankruptcies to November 1981, fires to October 1981, and fire brigade assistance for the first half-year 1981. The bulk of the document contains tabular data and graphs.
