Abstract
The report discusses case management in the context of perinatal alcohol and drug use and the application of case management principles to alcohol and drug treatment and recovery services. Basic elements of case management are defined, and the need to integrate cultural competence into case management services is highlighted. Models of case management discussed here in terms of their strengths and limitations include the blended or transdisciplinary model, the single agency case management and treatment model, the dual agency case management and treatment model, and the separate services model. 4 charts, 4 tables, 6 appendixes, and 21 references
