This two-part report describes the programs and activities of the Missouri court system and presents statistics on caseloads and dispositions during fiscal year 1998.
Abstract
The court system's case management system for its automation project underwent rigorous testing during the year. The State disbursed approximately $94.2 million from general revenue funds to operate the judiciary. Personnel costs represented 95 percent of the judicial budget. The average age of case at disposition decreased from fiscal year 1997 in every category except for the associate civil category. Four drug courts began operations during the year to bring the statewide number of drug courts to eight. Four jurisdictions implemented new teen court programs during the year. Figures and tables
