Abstract
THIS REPORT ANALYZES THE RESULTS OF A QUESTIONNAIRE COMPLETED BY CITIZEN AS TO THEIR COMPLIANCE WITH THE PREMISE SURVEY RECOMMENDATIONS AND MARKING OF NEW ITEMS FOR IDENTIFICATION. A PREMISE SURVEY INVOLVES A POLICE OFFICER'S INSPECTING A HOME OR BUSINESS TO DETERMINE ITS SECURITY DEFICIENCIES AND TO MAKE RECOMMENDATION FOR THEIR CORRECTION. IT IS LEFT TO OCCUPANTS TO MAKE THE NECESSARY CHANGES ACCORDING TO PRIORITIES SUGGESTED BY THE INSPECTOR. RESPONDENTS TO THE QUESTIONNAIRE HAD BEEN MEMBERS OF OPERATION IDENTIFICATION FOR AS MANY AS 46 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE FILLING OUT OF THE QUESTIONNAIRE, SO EFFORTS WERE MADE THROUGH THE QUESTIONNAIRE TO ASCERTAIN IF MARKING OF ITEMS HAD CONTINUED FOR NEW PURCHASES. CITIZEN RESPONSE AND COMPLIANCE IS CONSIDERED GOOD; HOWEVER, DATA ON THE AFFECTS THE PROGRAMS HAVE HAD ON PREVENTING BURGLARIES DO NOT PRESENTLY EXIST...RCB
