Abstract
The year 1980 marked the second full year of operation of the Trial Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts established under the provisions of the Court Reorganization Act of 1978. This report reflects that the trial court has enhanced its capacity to discharge its statutory responsibilities. The report is comprised of a narrative and statistical component. The narrative addresses the progressive evolution of the financial management, personnel administration, caseflow management, educational programs, and resource use and allocation within the trial court. The overview of these activities is highlighted by graphs and charts. The statistical component provides supporting data. (Author summary modified)
