Written by the main United States government witness against the Colombian cocaine trafficking cartel, this volume presents a first-person account of the author's involvement in the cartel and of the cartel's operations in the United States and abroad.
Abstract
The author was a major figure in cocaine trafficking from 1978 to 1985 and was the only American alive ever admitted to the cartel's inner circle. He details the personal lives of the cartel leaders and the ways that they circumvented the enforcement efforts of the Drug Enforcement Administration. The narrative also explains the operations of a group of American pilots who smuggled cocaine into the United States; the development of money laundering fronts; and the nature of the trafficking by air, land, and sea. The author has entered the Federal Witness Protection Program. Index.
