Abstract
Since no one has studied the adult development of policemen, we wondered if their development would be exceptional because of the unusual amount of stress inherent in police work. The purpose of our study was to (1) describe the adult development of our subjects, and (2) discuss the practical implications of our findings. (Publisher abstract)
