This book tells the story of the Sault family's physical, mental, and sexual abuse by their father.
Abstract
At the hand of their father, each member of the Sault family was brutally violated in different ways. This story is about what happens when the place of safety becomes a prison of secret abuse. The family received a regular dose of abuse infused with religion as the father was a practicing member of the Pentecostal church. The family grew up in brutal conditions, the kind of abuse that takes a toll on a child's heart by smothering any hope of a safe tomorrow. This is also a story of triumph from defeat. As the abused children moved on with their lives, they had their own families, and sought healing and deliverance from God. This book was written to help others who have experienced the shame and confusion and anger that are part of the abuse experience, and was written to provide hope for those who have had their innocence stolen from them.
