Join Together, a national program helping communities fight alcohol and drug abuse, sponsors the National Leadership Fellows Program yearly to recognize outstanding leaders in the drug abuse field.
Abstract
The program seeks to encourage competency in coalition building and to further an understanding of effective drug abuse treatment and prevention options. The program also attempts to build on strengths of participating fellows and keep them informed about the latest findings in the drug abuse field. Program fellows participate in a leadership institute, leadership seminars, and an annual refresher program. The program has a total of 65 fellows, and biographies of the 34 fellows in 1993 are provided.
