Abstract
THE BOOK CONTAINS 27 CONTRIBUTIONS AND IS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY AS AN INTERDISCIPLINARY FORUM OF EXCHANGE BETWEEN THE FIELDS OF PSYCHOLOGY AND LAW. INCLUDED ARE SECTIONS ON THE IMPACT OF LAW, THE DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUALS' ORIENTATIONS TOWARD LAW AND LEGAL INSTITUTIONS, SOCIALIZATION INTO LEGAL SYSTEMS, AND DECISIONMAKING IN CIVIL AND CRIMINAL, JUDICIAL AND NONJUDICIAL SETTINGS. MANY OF THE CHAPTERS REPORT FINDINGS FROM FIELD AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES. A VARIETY OF RESEARCH STRATEGIES, INCLUDING THE USE OF QUESTIONNAIRES, INDEPTH INTERVIEWS, OBSERVATIONS, ARCHIVAL DATA, AND SIMULATION MODELS, ARE REPRESENTED.
