The professionalization of law enforcement is examined historically and in the context of contemporary trends toward increasing education.
Abstract
Sixty two police agencies in large population centers were queried with regard to issues of professionalism. Questionnaire responses are indicated, along with an interpretation of the findings. (Author abstract)
