THE AUTHOR REVIEWS THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER'S DUTIES, WHICH INCLUDE SAFEGUARDING LIVES AND PROPERTY AND RESPECTING THE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS OF ALL MEN. COMMENTS ARE MADE ON THE OFFICER'S NEED TO LIVE A MODEL LIFE AS AN EXAMPLE FOR OTHERS, TO BE CALM, HONEST, AND NOT OVERLY IMPRESSED WITH HIS OWN IMPORTANCE. DETAILED DISCUSSION ON THE POLICE OFFICER'S ATTITUDE INCLUDES COMMENTS ON FACIAL EXPRESSION, ACTIONS AND BEARING, VOICE, HABITS, AND PERSONAL APPEARANCE.
