'THE BACKGROUND OF THE JUSTICE OF THE PEACE IS TRACED, THE HIGHLIGHTS OF REFORM, AND THE METHODS USED TO REPLACE THE JUSTICE OF THE PEACE WITH OTHER COURTS ARE GIVEN. INCLUDED ARE TABLES OF STATUTORY PROVISIONS AND CITATIONS WHICH GIVE INFORMATION TAKEN FROM THE GENERAL LAWS CONTROLLING THE JUSTICE OF THE PEACE IN EACH STATE WHERE THEY CONTINUE TO EXIST.
