PRIMARY EMPHASIS IS ON BOTH THE JUDICIAL CODE (TITLE 28 OF THE U.S. CODE) AND PROVISIONS RELEVANT TO THE ORGANIZATON OF COURTS, THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, COURT OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES, JURISDICTION AND VENUE, PROCEDURES, AND PARTICULAR PROCEEDINGS, AND THE CRIMINAL CODE (TITLE 18 OF THE U.S. CODE) AND PROVISIONS RELEVANT TO CRIMES (WIRE INTERCEPTION AND THE INTERCEPTION OF ORAL COMMUNICATIONS) AND CRIMINAL PROCEDURES (ARREST AND COMMITMENT, SEARCH AND SEIZURE, RELEASE, SPEEDY TRIAL, EXTRADITION, JURISDICTION AND VENUE, GRAND JURY, INDICTMENT AND INFORMATION, TRIAL BY U.S. MAGISTRATES, ARRAIGNMENT, PLEAS AND TRIAL, WITNESSES AND EVIDENCE, VERDICT, SENTENCING, PROBATION, CONTEMPT, APPEAL, AND RULES OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE).
