Abstract
Presentations on the first day of the conference examined investigating the crime scene, interviewing child witnesses, interrogating suspects, and evaluating the prosecutor's role in supervising child abuse investigations. Topics of interest on the second day concerned death review teams, the prosecution of old cases, pediatric autopsies, bite marks, burn injuries, and pediatric radiology. Presentations on the third day considered head injuries and Shaken Baby Syndrome, domestic violence and physical abuse, the investigation of neglect, and the evaluation of sudden and unexpected infant death. Sessions on the final day covered charging, voir dire, experts and demonstrative evidence, untrue defenses, and the cross-examination of defense experts. References, tables, and figures
