Abstract
Individual sections outline the history and current status of the field, occupational specializations, and the education and training involved. Additional sections focus on ways to combat internal threats and assess risk, detailing procedures related to personnel security, information security, risk management, and the use of the security survey. Further chapters focus on methods of addressing external threats, focusing on access controls, protective barriers and lighting, alarm systems, lock systems, safes and vaults, and the management of natural and human-induced disasters.
