Abstract
SEVERAL OF THE SPEAKERS AT THE 1967 SEMINAR DISCUSSED THE PROBLEM OF DRUG ABUSE AND ITS RELATIONSHIP TO ACCIDENTAL AND PURPOSEFUL DEATHS. SUICIDE, ABORTION, AND FATAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS WERE AMONG THE OTHER TOPICS COVERED. PAPERS PRESENTED AT THE 1968 SEMINAR DEALT WITH SUCH MATTERS AS EMOTIONS AT THE TIME OF DEATH, MEDICO LEGAL PROOF IN COURT, FRAUDULENT DEATH CLAIMS, THOROUGHNESS OF INVESTIGATION, AND DETERMINATION OF THE MOMENT OF DEATH. TOPICS OF THE 1969 CONFERENCE INCLUDE - PHOTOGRAPHY AND THE CORONER, RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN INVESTIGATION OF SUDDEN DEATHS IN INFANCY, EVIDENCE PRESENTATION, CLASSIFICATION OF FOOTPRINTS, CRIMINALISTICS METHODOLOGY, AND DISASTER VICTIM IDENTIFICATION PROBLEMS.
