Abstract
A SAMPLE OF POLICE ROBBERY REPORTS WAS TAKEN FROM THE RECORDS OF EACH PROSECUTORS' OFFICE AND CATEGORIZED BY MEANS OF A RESEARCH INFORMATION FORM, WHICH WAS PREPARED ESPECIALLY FOR THE PROJECT. INFERENCES ABOUT THE THOROUGHNESS OF POLICE INVESTIGATIONS THAT WERE GLEANED FROM THIS STUDY ARE PRESENTED. ALSO ASSESSED IS THE DEGREE TO WHICH THE DISPOSITION OF DEFENDANTS APPEARS TO BE DEPENDENT ON THE QUALITY OF INVESTIGATION. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)...KAP
