SUGGESTION THAT DATA CAN BE SHARED BY VARIOUS CITY GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES TO THEIR MUTUAL ADVANTAGE.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR ARGUES THAT A SINGLE EVENT IN A GIVEN MUNICIPALITY CAN HAVE REPERCUSSIONS THAT EFFECT NUMEROUS GOVERNMENT ENTITIES - POLICE SERVICES, FIRE DEPARTMENTS, PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENTS, AND LICENSING DIVISION. HE CONTENDS THAT BY FOLLOWING THE EXAMPLE SET BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND LARGE URBAN AREAS, AN INTEGRATED GOVERNMENTAL INFORMATION SYSTEM COULD INCREASE EFFICIENCY AND AID MANAGEMENT.
