Directed to all employees of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), this videotape explains the requirements of HUD's employee standards of conduct and the consequences of violating these standards.
Abstract
Several examples are given to illustrate various situations in which employees may find themselves compromised or in a potential conflict of interest. The point is emphasized that ignorance is no excuse and that the standards apply to all categories and levels of employees. Procedures for investigating possible violations are discussed. Employees are urged to contact the attorney general's office if they even suspect a problem may exist. Employees also may call the HUD employee hotline for advice.
