This document provides a detailed toolkit, designed to provide readers with concrete and useful information to hire, manage, and retain a team to help achieve the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) mission to serve children and families who have been impacted by abuse. The document first provides a human resources (HR) checklist with essential first steps and best practices for hiring and onboarding, performance management, employee relations and policies, compensation and benefits, and more. The five resources cover the following issues: a hiring guide; interview questions; orientation and onboarding; supervision at CACs; and a final resource with samples of standard HR document template.
