USING SEVERAL SIMULATED BURGLARIES AS A FRAMEWORK, THE FILM DEMONSTRATES COMMON METHODS OF GAINING ENTRY, ASSURING THAT THE HOUSE IS EMPTY, AND SELECTING ITEMS TO BE STOLEN. IT IS SUGGESTED TO THE HOMEOWNER THAT HE OR SHE KEEP AN ACCURATE LIST OF VALUABLES; PUT IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS ON ALL VALUABLES; LOCK DOORS WITH CARE; MAKE SURE BACK DOORS AND BASEMENT WINDOWS ARE LOCKED; AND BE CAREFUL OF LEAVING OBVIOUS INDICATIONS THAT THE HOUSE IS EMPTY. SECURITY DEVICES SUCH AS ALARMS, MOTION DETECTORS, LOCKS, AND SAFES ARE DISCUSSED. SECURITY MEASURES FOR APARTMENTS ARE BRIEFLY REVIEWED AS WELL.
