Because of the importance of handwriting in daily life and legal transactions, we studied 35 patients suffering from several extrapyramidal disorders or movement disorders in order to identify the presence of any handwriting characteristics that would be indicative of these diseases and to determine what the effects of the medications used for therapy are on handwriting.
Abstract
Our study revealed that each patient possessed a handwriting that was individual to him/her and that this individuality was not altered by any of the medications encountered. (Publisher abstract)
