This report summarizes the Florida Department of Corrections' progress and accomplishments during fiscal year 1995-96.
Abstract
The report was designed to serve as a resource book for persons interested in any aspect of the Florida correctional system. It addresses the department's reorganization effort and delineates the responsibilities of each of the department's six assistant secretary's offices: Administration, Community Corrections, Education and Job Training, Executive Services, Health Care, and Security and Institutional Management. It also contains comprehensive statistical data pertaining to inmates (Inmate Admissions from July 1, 1995 to June 30, 1996; Inmate Population on June 30, 1996; and Death Row) and those on community supervision (Admissions from July 1, 1995 to June 30, 1996; Population on June 30, 1996; Releases from July 1, 1995 to June 30, 1996; Facilities Directory).
