This brief by the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) solicits applications for the FY 2024 Training and Technical Assistance for Justice-Focused Community Based Organizations program.

Abstract

This solicitation overview issued by the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) invites applications for the Training and Technical Assistance for Justice-Focused Community Based Organizations program. Nonprofits other than institutions of higher education; for-profit organizations; small businesses; Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments); public, private, and state-controlled institutions of higher education are eligible to apply. Successful candidates receive funding to facilitate the delivery of national-scale, high-quality training and technical assistance (TTA) for justice-focused community-based organizations that primarily serve historically marginalized and underserved communities. The TTA will improve the quality of organizations’ programming and service delivery, increase their capacity for applying for and accessing Office of Justice Programs (OJP) funding opportunities, and strengthen their infrastructure and administrative and financial controls to successfully meet OJP program goals and objectives to strengthen their role as coproducers of safety and justice. BJA encourages applications from agencies that have not previously received BJA or OJP funding and organizations or entities with an established network of or relationships with community-based organizations serving historically marginalized and underserved communities.
