The second part of a Dutch survey of judges in training that determined trainee attitudes about judges' work and about the training course contains appendixes with data on the survey results.
Abstract
Areas covered in the survey are the responsibilities of the judiciary, broadening of the judicial responsibilities, types of judicial activities, the relationship of the judge to society, problems resulting from the judicial hierarchy, selection procedures for trainee judges, and background statistics on trainees. With the exception of the last section on background statistics, each section contains an extensive statement about the particular subject area, a statistical breakdown of trainees' positive and negative responses to a series of questions in that particular area, and complete statements on the subject by certain individual respondents. The answers to be included were selected by the workgroup conducting the survey. For a description of the survey and an analysis of the results, see NCJ-79188.
