THIS DIRECTORY LISTS THE NAMES AND ADDRESSES OF PROGRAM CONTACTS INTERVIEWED IN PREPARATION OF THE 1976 PROGRAM INVENTORY OF FEDERAL JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PROGRAMS.
Abstract
THE PROGRAMS ARE LISTED IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER, FIRST BY AGENCY AND THEN BY PROGRAM TITLE. THE INFORMATION PROVIDED INCLUDES AN INVENTORY IDENTIFICATION NUMBER; AN OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET IDENTIFICATION NUMBER, WHEN AVAILABLE; THE NAMES OF RESPONDENTS AND THEIR ADDRESSES AND TELEPHONE NUMBERS. SOME OF THE PROGRAMS ARE DIRECTED BY ACTION, SUCH AS THE FOSTER GRANDPARENTS PROGRAM, THE VOLUNTEERS IN SERVICE TO AMERICA, AND THE YOUTH CHALLENGE PROGRAM. OTHER PROGRAMS ARE GEARED TOWARD SUMMER AND PART-TIME YOUTH EMPLOYMENT, APPALACHIAN CHILD DEVELOPMENT AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROJECTS, FOOD DISTRIBUTION AND SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAMS, ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE PROGRAMS, CAREER AND BILINGUAL EDUCATION PROJECTS, FAMILY SERVICES AND MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAMS, LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS, AND INDIAN EDUCATION SERVICES.
