IN THIS PAPER, THE AUTHORS ADAPT RELIABILITY THEORY EVALUATION TECHNIQUES TO THE CORRECTIONAL CONTEXT.
Abstract
A MODEL IS CONSTRUCTED APPLYING STATISTICAL TECHNIQUES USED IN RELIABILITY TESTING OF ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT TO DETERMINE THE FAILURE OR NONFAILURE OF THE PIECE OF EQUIPMENT OVER A PERIOD OF TIME. THE STATISTICAL CONCEPTS ARE PRESENTED IN TERMS OF RECIDIVISM DATA BECAUSE IT IS A COMMONLY USED MEASURE IN THE EVALUATION OF CORRECTIONAL REHABILITATION PROGRAMS.
