This report highlights the activities of the European Network for Policewomen (ENP), based in the Netherlands, in 1991.
Abstract
The ENP was founded in 1989 to optimize the position of policewomen in European police forces through establishing contacts in all the European countries, enabling European policewomen to exchange their knowledge and experiences, promoting mutual support, encouraging plans to implement national networks, supporting international research, and maintaining liaison with politicians at the European level. Activities during 1991 included collaboration with the National Committee on Equal Opportunities in the Police (LPEC) and the National Policewomen's Network Liaison Center (LSP), sponsorship of a workshop for contact persons, production of a newsletter, organization of Dutch delegation to the International Association of Women Police annual conference, and production of a video film about policewomen in Europe. In addition, two ENP-funded studies of interest were completed during 1991.
