IN THIS CHAPTER, THE AUTHOR DISCUSSES THE SPECIFIC FACTORS WHICH DIFFERENTIATE THE MANAGEMENT OF COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS FROM THAT OF TRADITIONAL, INSTITUTIONALLY ORIENTED SYSTEMS.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR EXAMINES THE CHANGES WHICH MUST OCCUR WITHIN THE AGENCY ITSELF, AND THE DYNAMICS OF PREPARING THE COMMUNITY TO ACCOMODATE THESE NEW AND, AT FIRST GLANCE, THREATENING METHODS OF DEALING WITH THE CONVICTED OFFENDER.
