Abstract
CAPABILITIES AND CONCEPTS SUCH AS THE FOLLOWING ARE EXPLORED: AUTOMATED VEHICLE MONITORING, PERSONAL RADIO EQUIPPED POLICE, AND CONTINUOUS REAL TIME FORCE STATUS MONITORING. VARIOUS COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS IN USE BY POLICE DEPARTMENTS ARE BRIEFLY EXAMINED AND USED TO ILLUSTRATE THE DISCUSSION.
