Statistics for Victoria's (Australia) higher criminal courts address the elapsed times for the different phases of case processing.
Abstract
Data for the Supreme Court and County Court address the days between arrest and committal, arrest and sentence, committal and arraignment, committal and ready-for-trial, ready-for-trial and arraignment, verdict and sentence, committal and sentence, and committal and verdict. Graphs show elapsed time between committal and arraignment, between committal and ready-for-trial, and between ready-for-trial and arraignment for all defendants and then for defendants broken down by those on bail and those on remand. The graphs present these data separately for the Supreme Court and the County Court. Bar charts and frequency distributions address these same data.
