FROM EIGHTEEN STATES AND TEN MAJOR CITIES, REPRESENTATIVES OF GOVERNORS' AND MAYORS' OFFICES; STATE AND CITY DEPARTMENTS OF EDUCATION; THE BAR; LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES; OTHER AGENCIES WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE; AND PRIVATE FOUNDATION EXECUTIVES CAME TOGETHER FOR TWO DAYS WITH LEADERS OF FIFTEEN LAW-RELATED EDUCATION PROJECTS AT THE CENTER FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN ST. CHARLES, ILLINOIS. PARTICIPANTS AGREED TO ENCOURAGE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SIMILAR PROGRAMS IN THEIR AREAS. INCLUDED IN THE REPORT ARE POSITION PAPERS PRESENTED AT THE CONFERENCE, AND SYNOPSES OF LAW RELATED EDUCATION PROGRAMS DESCRIBED AT THE CONFERENCE.
