A SOCIOLOGICAL STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF EDUCATION AS AN ATTITUDE CHANGER OF AN ANONYMOUS CITY'S 115 POLICE SCIENCE STUDENTS AND 396 POLICE OFFICERS.
THE STUDENTS AND OFFICERS WERE GIVEN QUESTIONNAIRES THAT MEASURED SOCIAL AND POLITICAL ATTITUDES BEFORE BEING EXPOSED TO ANY HIGHER EDUCATION, AND AFTER TWO YEARS OF STUDY, FINDINGS SUGGEST THAT THOSE STUDENTS WHO ATTEND PUBLIC JUNIOR COLLEGES FOR EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC REASONS AND ARE MORE VOCATIONALLY RATHER THAN INTELLECTUALLY ORIENTED ARE LESS LIKELY TO CHANGE ATTITUDES AS A RESULT OF THEIR EDUCATION.
