This paper presents and explains three data tables showing arrests and dispositions for cases of driving while intoxicated in Maryland's five major jurisdictions between fiscal year 1978 and fiscal year 1982.
Abstract
The five jurisdictions are Baltimore City, Anne Arundel County, Baltimore County, Montgomery County, and Prince George's County. Data show arrests by sex and race, dispositions of violators, and the probation intakes of violators. For all five jurisdictions, males were arrested for violations at a much greater rate than females; the majority of those arrested where white.
