This fact sheet provides grant information and resources for entities that may be interested in the DNA Capacity Enhancement for Backlog Reduction (CEBR) Formula Program, from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), which awards grants in support of the following three goals: to carry out DNA analyses of database samples, collected under applicable legal authority, for inclusion in the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS); to carry out, for inclusion in CODIS, DNA analyses of forensic case samples; and to increase the capacity of publicly funded forensic DNA and DNA database laboratories.
