THE AUTHOR DEFINES JUVENILE DELINQUENCY AS A SOCIAL-MORAL DISORDER THAT CAN ONLY BE ASSESSED IN THOSE TERMS AND HE DEPLORES THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF PSYCHOLOGY, AND SOCIOLOGY AS BEING COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE.
Abstract
DELINQUENCY IS ALSO PARTIALLY ACCOUNTED FOR BY THE CULTIVATION OF BAD CHARACTER IN YOUTHS THROUGH AN OVERLY-PERMISSIVE SOCIETY. THE ROLE OF PUNISHMENT IN THE PREVENTION OF DELINQUENCY IS ALSO DISCUSSED.
