Abstract
The experience gained from the continuous development and changes in the country over the past 179 years indicated that the Malaysian police could no longer act independently as guardian of the law. Public cooperation is needed by the police. To date a number of activities and programs have been designed by the Royal Malaysia Police to promote closer police-community relations.
