The 1992 annual report of the Detroit Police Department (DPD) contains information on police organization and crime statistics.
The DPD believes 1992 was a year of significant achievement with respect to ethnic representation on the police force and the use of community policing. An organizational chart of the DPD and a map of area operations are included, along with photographs of key police officials and civilian executives. Data are provided on the DPD budget, department personnel, offenses and dispositions, homicide, manslaughter, rape, aggravated assault, robbery, burglary, larceny, arrests, juvenile offenders, and traffic- related violations.
