Abstract
This second interim report describes the continuing development of the pilot Youth Offending Teams (YOTs) and includes a description of the ways in which some of the new provisions in the Crime and Disorder Act are being implemented. The report presents data on Strategic Development, Cultural Change, The Courts and The New Disposals, which includes descriptions of The Final Warning, The Reparation Order, The Action Plan Order and Parenting and Child Safety Orders. YOTs have continued to develop their work with the new provisions of the Crime and Disorder Act. They have learned lessons that will be useful in establishing YOTs throughout the country. This report has focused on operational management and implementation of the new orders. Future reports will address other aspects of new developments being monitored and evaluated.
