THE INTEGRATION OF SOCIAL SERVICE INSTITUTIONS IS EMPHASIZED AS A WORKABLE VEHICLE FOR THE REDUCTION OF JUVENILE DELINQUENCY.
Abstract
PREDICTION OF THE GROWTH OF DELINQUENCY IN A SOCIETY THROUGH THE USE OF CONFIGURATION ANALYSIS, IS RECOMMENDED TO DETERMINE WHETHER PREVENTIVE PROGRAMS ARE NECESSARY AND EVALUATE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROGRAMS ALREADY IN ACTION. RELIGIOUS, JUDICIAL, AND ECONOMIC INSTITUTIONS AT WORK IN A COMMUNITY SHOW THE NEED FOR BASIC CHANGES IN THESE ORGANIZATIONS IN ORDER TO ALTER THE CONDITIONS WHICH PROMOTE THE GROWTH OF DEVIANT ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIOR. THE ROLES OF THE SCHOOL, THE FAMILY, AND THE COMMUNITY ARE EXPLORED IN TERMS OF THE THEORIES AND CONCEPTS NECESSARY TO CORRECT THE FEARS AND MISCONCEPTIONS WHICH CAN RENDER THE UNITS IMPOTENT OR DESTRUCTIVE.
