This volume presents photographs and narrative descriptions of drug smuggling techniques and successful law enforcement efforts directed at drug trafficking, using photocopies of highly classified documents described in the introduction as having been obtained by covert means from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Abstract
The introduction also notes that information sources include the DEA, the United States Customs Service, the United States Coast Guard, the FBI, State and local police departments, Canadian Customs Service, and other international law enforcement agencies. The documents include interagency intelligence tips and briefings showing drug trafficking patterns and trends. Photographs detail seized contraband and the methods used to try to conceal it. The documents also indicate how law enforcement officers use both technology and simple techniques to apprehend drug traffickers.
