Survey data were gathered between May 1982 and April 1983. The study focused on crime, fear of crime, and crime's impact on the quality of life and productivity. The data collection contains six files, three of which are data files. These files contain personal data, crime data, and information on crimes outside the study's scope. The other three files are machine-readable codebook files with logical record lengths of 133 characters. Appendixes provide detailed documentation for the data files.
