Abstract
THE AUTHORS ILLUSTRATE THE PROCESS OF INTERACTION AND FEED-BACK EXISTING BETWEEN THE NORMATIVE CATEGORIZATION OF OFFENCES AND OFFENDERS AND SOCIAL PERCEPTION AND STIGMATIZATION. THEY ALSO SUGGEST SOME AREAS FOR A BETTER ANALYSIS OF THE PHENOMENON, AIMING ON ONE HAND TO A MORE PRECISE AND MORE REALISTIC LEGAL CATEGORIZATION AND ON THE OTHER HAND TO PUBLIC SENSITIZATION AND PARTICIPATION IN SOCIAL DEFENCE EFFORTS. --IN ITALIAN.
