These statistics give a general picture of visible criminality in Sweden, how it is broken down into the various types of crime, its development, and its regional distribution.
Abstract
The report includes data on the visible criminality, that is, criminality that has been registered by the police after it has come to their attention. Statistics are also given for cleared offenses and persons suspected of an offense. The statistics include the following offenses: (1) road traffic accidents, disorderly conduct, misuse of another person's parking place; (2) traffic offenses such as unlawful driving, DWI, and hit-and-run offenses; (3) offenses against special statutes other than Road Traffic Offenses Act; and (4) drug fines, illegal distilling of alcoholic liquids. There is a list in English of the offenses found in the tables. An offense is regarded as cleared when a specific suspect has been linked to the offense or when the police conclude their investigation. 38 tables (Author abstract modified)
