Abstract
A summary of the basic points in each chapter of the student text is provided to aid the instructor in preparing classroom lectures or discussions. The topics covered are methods of obtaining evidence and limitations thereon; procedure prior to trial; constitutional safeguards in the trial; problems in the conduct of trial proceedings; judgment, sentencing, and treatment of offenders; post-conviction procedures; and limitations on criminal proceedings. Sample tests are provided for each chapter (true-false and essay questions), and the correct answers are supplied, with a brief explanation for each.
